Without brake strengthened rupiah to Rp9.350
JAKARTA - The movement of the rupiah continued to strengthen even more wild. Once established in Rp9.400 level since last week, is now speeding without brakes rupiah meneras to level Rp9.350 per USD.
The hardness of this afternoon rupiah rate less unstoppable, when the composite stock price index (JCI) also raced bobolkan level 2.500. Strengthening stock index gives the power for the rupiah to continue exploring new level.
In trading Wednesday (14/10/2009) rupiah closed at Rp9.351-9.321 per USD or strengthened Tuesday (13/10/2009) closed at Rp9.425-9.395 per USD.
Earlier, Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Nasution Nasution had said strengthening the rupiah was not the result of the intervention BI. Many groups, the rupiah strengthened due to swift flow of foreign funds Hot Money.
As quoted from the analysis of OCBC NISP, the external side, global currency markets and regional seemed to have given indications that the trend pergerakkan weakening U.S. dollar will continue, at least in the very near future.
